A video this week, since I'm having a hard time with words . Basically, why is "flattering" the priority for our clothing? What does that actually even mean? I heard Stacy London (of What Not to Wear fame) say recently on a podcast that your personal style should be defined by what looks best on your body. To her credit, she’s evolved a lot since her WNTW days, but I respectfully and totally disagree. Should the shape of our body determine which style of clothes we’re able to wear? No, and here’s why (click image for video and for anyone like me who likes to watch videos without sound, click on cc for closed captioning):

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I've been talking about this for YEARS. Here's a blog post from almost four years ago with the same message.

P.S. Are you struggling with what to wear (or what not to wear - ha!) right now? I'm available for virtual styling sessions. We can do a full closet cleanse or just have a style hour to deal with your most pressing concerns. Book an appointment here
